VF117 Double Chain Cable Pattern

What I like about the pattern that I chose for this sweater is that it is unusual to find Seed Stitch used as the primary element in a cable, rather that just in the background. To complement the texture of the cables, I used Seed Stitch for the cuffs, hems, and neck band as well.

Yarn: 1744 (2180, 2180, 2398, 2616, 2616) yards worsted weight wool yarn
Needles: One pair US 8 straight needles; 16″ circular US 6 needles
Other Materials: cable needle, stitch markers
Gauge: 24 sts and 28 rows = 4″ in Double Chain Cable pattern;
18 sts and 31 rows = 4″ in Seed stitch.
