Description
Peargirl Blue Lotus Lace Scarf
Peargirl Knits
A Lotus flower has many symbolic meanings… divine purity and enlightenment in Buddhism, wealth in Hinduism, and rebirth in the ancient Egyptian religion. The Blue Lotus was used to boost the libido in ancient Egypt, and in Egyptian medicine it was used to stimulate blood circulation and to slow the aging process. It was worshiped as a visionary plant and a symbol for the origins of life. Indians and Buddhists highly respected Blue Lotus for its visionary properties. It produces a feeling of well being, euphoria and ecstasy. It is still used as an entheogen today. The beautiful Lotus Pattern comes from Japan and is included in Barbara G. Walker’s “A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns”.
