Materials:
Worsted weight yarn approx 122 yds per 50 gm skein. Sweater pictured uses Tara Tweed from Tahki Stacy Charles. 1 set each US 3 and US 5 needles. 5/5/5/6/6/6 buttons. Crochet hook, size E.* (optional)
*I prefer to join knitted pieces and reinforce edges with crochet, which produces durable seams and firm edges.
Gauge:
Stockinette Stitch: 5 st per inch; 7 1/8 rows per inch on US 5.
This sweater knits on smaller needles than is customary for this weight yarn. The tighter gauge results in a better fitting,longer lasting garment. A Mari Sweater fits and it flatters.
