Soucy: “A simple, well fitting shell, written at 5 stitches to the inch, for worsted or D.K. weight yarn. No side shaping on this one, but you could add some if you wish. The shoulders fit well even in the larger sizes. The neck and sleeve openings are edged with narrow garter stitch. Finished chest measurements 32 to 44 inches.”

(Spectacular in any yarn; you will need many. Worked in the round from the hem to the armholes, then divided. Notice how generously the armholes are cut; this makes it ideal for layering as well as wearing on its own– Ed.)

A simple to knit, well fitting shell, uses light worsted or dk weight yarn at 20 sts to 4 inches. Sizes x-small to x-large.
