KPS9730 Children’s Neckdown Pullover
“This basic pullover uses heavy worsted weight yarn at 4 stitches to the inch,” says Soucy. “Sized roomy for layering, but if you want a slimmer fit, you can get a tighter gauge.” Here Soucy is New England-modest, so let’s help her out, shall we? You start at the neck and work back and forth to raise the back neck, then join into a round and continue down with raglan sleeves. Collar is picked up afterwards and worked circularly; sleeves are worked down in the round too. There’s absolutely no sewing and no special edge treatments; hem and cuffs are left to roll naturally.
The classic pullover for kids, calls for heavy worsted weight yarn at a gauge of 16 sts to 4 inches. Sizes 2-4, 6-8, and 10-12.
