Soucy explains: “Written for heavy worsted or mohair yarns, at 16 stitches to 4 inches (10cm). Finished measurements 36 to 52 inches. Begin knitting at the left front band and knit around your body! Looks great with variegated yarns, the stripey effect that sometimes happens with these yarns is more vertical.” After you work the body (sleeveless, from left front around the back to the right front), you pick up the stitches around the (drop) armhole and knit down in the round– no cap shaping, though you could add some– to the cuff. It’s a neat construction, fun to do, and would show off subtle or strong variegates to great advantage.
