FTAC7 Felt Purses

Four quick and easy bags to knit and felt.

Straps are made in I-cord, twisted cord and braid, but leather, chain or beads could be used instead. Buttons, snaps, jewelry or beads can act as closures or for decoration only.

Sizes: Approximate, will vary with yarn choice and the amount of felting.

Style #1: Shown in burgundy at bottom of photo. 8″ (22cm) wide by 7″ (19cm) deep.

Style #2: Shown in 2 shades of green. 7″ x 7″ (18 x 18 cm)

Style #3: Shown in indigo and plum. 8″ x 10″ (20 x 25cm)

Style #4: Shown at top of photo. Two sizes 6″ x 8″ (15 x 20 cm) and 7″ x 9″ (18 x 23 cm).

Yarn Requirements:
All styles are made with a single strand of worsted wt wool or wool/mohair blend. Choose a yarn that will felt easily.

Approximate yardage used:
Style #1: 190 yds (174m).

Style #2: 100 yds (92m) of main color and 50yds (46m) of contrast.

Style #3: 150 yds 138m) of A and 100 yds (92m) of B.

Style #4: 140 yds (128m) main color (flap & back of bag) and 75 yds (69m) of contrast (front).
