French Girl Pattern: Yvette…once upon a time in Depression-era New Orleans a young chanteuse of 17 left her home, taking to the road with her two traveling musicians. She sought her fortune in the jazz joints and road houses along the Mississippi. Her journey led her to collaborations with renowned musicians of the time and finally to my father’s door…Yvette is for my mother, Yvonne Barilleau, the original French Girl.

Needles: #17(12mm), 24”(60cm), 36”(100cm) circulars, #17 (12mm) double-pointed needle (to use as cable needle)vintage buttons or brooch.

MEASURE 34”(86cm) [29”/73cm] neck circumference x 20”(51cm) [18”/45.5cm] length x 62”(157cm) [58”/147cm] circumference at bottom edge. Measurements for size xs-s are shown in brackets.

GAUGE: 8sts x 11 rows = 4”x 4”(10cmx10cm) in stockinette stitch with #17(12mm) needles.
