This vest from Ann Norling is influenced by a quilt. It could be made out of different colors of the same yarn, but it could easily be done with different yarns that are all the same gauge.

Sizes: finished measurements range from 40 to 52 inches
Yarn: worsted weight, 200 grams of Color #1; 100 grams of color #2; 50 grams of color #3. Plus small amount of dark yarn for seam stitching.
Needles: straight size US #7 or size to obtain gauge of 5 sts/inch. Crochet hook size F.
