This versatile pattern is for those of you who want a hat that doesn’t totally wreck your hair style. It is written for quick knitting at three stitches = 1″ and can be made as fancy or as casual as you want. Try some great bulky weight yarn or combine several strands of different yarns that will give you the gauge. You can also stripe this hat or use some glitzy novelty yarn or “fur” on the edge.
Gauge: 3 sts = 1″
Yarn: 130 yds. of a bulky weight yarn or 130 yds. each of several yarns that, held together, give you the gauge
Needles: 16″ circular and dpns in US #10 or size to obtain gauge
Accessories: stitch markers and tapestry needle
